The Project

A 2019 study of 112 miles of I-90 proved what local residents already knew–many drivers are navigating alternative routes on rural roads at high speeds to avoid frequent traffic backups on I-90. The more severe the traffic on I-90, the more cars driving on back country roads that are engineered for far slower speeds.

The STEER I-90 Coalition aims to fix these issues.

We are very excited to announce the finalization of the Easton to Cle Elum I-90 Corridor Feasibility Report. You can read and download the document below to learn more about the corridor, challenges, possible alternatives, and actions Kittitas County is taking to improve the corridor.
