To reduce traffic accidents, improve circulation, protect the environment, and promote equity by improving infrastructure on a dangerous portion of Interstate 90 between Easton to Cle Elum, Washington.

The STEER I-90 Coalition is working together to improve traffic safety and community connectivity in Washington’s critical east-west I-90 Corridor.
This highway connects Puget Sound’s deep-water ports, large population centers, and retail and service businesses with educational, agricultural, and recreational areas in central and eastern Washington.
The STEER I-90 Coalition collaborates with local stakeholders to raise federal dollars for a major infrastructural project needed to reduce congestion, improve safety on the freeway and local roadways, reduce conflicts with wildlife, support movement of freight and goods to Seattle regional ports, and improve the ability for mass evacuation from Metropolitan Seattle area communities during emergencies as well as evacuation from wildland fires east of the Cascades.
